In an electrophotographic printing machine, the residual toner particles adhering to the photoconductive surface are removed therefrom and collected. The toner collection system includes a rigid outer box having a thin plastic bag disposed therein. When the plastic bag is filled with toner particles, the bag is removed from the rigid box and disposed of. The bag is designed to automatically close via a drawstring arrangement as it is removed from the rigid outer box. This prevents toner particles from dirtying the operator's hands. A new plastic bag is replaced in the rigid box after the filled bag is removed therefrom.
