Xerox Disclosure Journal
This disclosure relates to a release agent management technique for applying silicone oil to the surface of a fuser roll. A quantity of oil is contained in a sump and is conveyed to a wick by means of a pump. A microprocessor is employed to count the number of copies made during a copy run and also the number of copy runs. By counting the number of copy runs or starts, silicone oil lost due to puddle formation can be replenished.
