Disclosed are toner compositions containing toner particles, pigment particles, and as charge enhancing additives for the purpose of imparting positive charges to the toner resin particles, ethyl cellulose resins. In one embodiment, the toner composition contains as resin particles a styrene n-butyl mathacrylate copolymer, containing 58% by weight of styrene, and 42% by weight of n-butyl mathacrylate, carbon black, and about 5% by weight of ethyl cellulose, commercially available from Hercules Corporation as Ethyl Cellulose T-50. A developer composition is prepared by mixing 1 part by weight of this toner composition with 100 parts by weight of a carrier containing a steel core overcoated with polymeric resinous composition.
