In an electrophotographic printing machine, the toner powder image is permanently affixed to the copy sheet by applying heat thereto. This is achieved by a fusing system. The fusing system may employ an internally heated soft fuser roll and a hard steel pressure roll. An air filled diaphragm is energized to apply a force to the pressure roll. The diaphragm fills with air and exerts a force on a load bar until it hits a predetermined stop. The stop screws are electronically set up in manufacturing. The operating range of pressures in the system is from 8.0 to 12.0 psi.
