The paper path sensing device disclosed is contemplated for use in an imaging apparatus. Pneumatically actuated switches are provided for indicating when the imaging apparatus is out of paper and for shutting down the a paratus in the event of a paper jam. A manifold is provided with
paper slides over orifices strategically placed in the paper path. Upon activation of the pouches or diaphragms, the switches associated therewith are actuated. The orifices are connected to the pouches by small diameter tubing or 'spaghetti', controlling the flow of low pressure, low volume air that displaces the pouches.
