Xerox Disclosure Journal
A paper registration device for use in electrophotographic printing and copying machines that allows for accurate and adjustable setup and also has a "clam shell" type separable nip for easy jam clearance is disciosed. The device is housed within a baffle assembly which translates forward and automatically pivots downward and opens when the registration module drawer is opened by the user-operator. The device provides for both easy access for clearing copy sheet jams and ensures accurate registration on the top, bottom and side edge of the copy sheet as shown in Figures 1 and 2.
