Proposed is an addition of an adjustable stop block to space the gap between the cutter blade and die head at the exit of a polymer extruder which prepares pellets for toner fabrication. In it's present configuration, the mist water granular (MWG) cutter provides a weak and easily moved stopping point on which the rotor or cutter housing can close. A finely threaded adjustment screw on the stop block improves the adjustment capability of the cutter to the die surface. The proposed stop block is secured across both bottom outside surfaces of the MWG housing to prevent the housing from twisting under high loads. The composition of the stop block and the adjustment screw are of dissimilar stainless steels to prevent galling.
