Abstract

The present proposal addresses refillable toner bottles. As illustrated by the figure, plastic toner bottle 10 has a one-way air flow nozzle 20 formed from a rubberlike material 22. Nozzle 20 allows for the purging of an empty toner bottle 10 by forced air. An empty toner bottle 10 is inverted and placed onto a vacuum port 30. Vacuum port 30 is configured so as to mate with a flanged opening 24 on the toner bottle 10. Pump 40 is connected to air flow nozzle 20 by way of a hose 42 and when energized, circulates an airflow into the empty toner bottle 10. The vacuum port 30 correspondingly draws in toner dust agitated by the forced air. When the process is completed, the empty toner bottle 10 is relabeled and packaged for distribution. A red plug cap (not shown) is placed on the nozzle 20 to denote a refilled toner bottle 10.
