Abstract
In an embodiment, an integrated ambient light control system for a medical imaging apparatus such as, for example, a CT Scanner, MRI apparatus, is provided, wherein the system includes at least one light dimming device e.g. a dimmer switch integrally mounted to a workstation, for automatically controlling the dimmer light.
INTEGRATED AMBIENT LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM FOR MEDICAL IMAGING APPARATUS
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] This invention relates generally to light control systems, and more particularly, to an ambient light control system for a medical imaging apparatus such as, for example, a CT Scanner, a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) apparatus, Ultrasound Imaging apparatus.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] Generally, for example, in an ultrasound imaging environment, an operator is required to admit a patient, set the parameters, walk back to a light switch to control the lighting suitable for scanning, and walk back to the workstation. This workflow, however, increases unnecessary physical workload and results in an inefficient and unproductive work pattern.
[0003] Thus, a need exists for a lighting control system that would avoid unnecessary physical workload and hence improve convenience of the operator.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0004] In an embodiment, an integrated ambient light control system for a medical imaging apparatus is provided, wherein the system includes at least one light dimming device e.g. a dimmer switch integrally mounted to a workstation.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0005] Various embodiments of the present invention describe an integrated ambient light control system for a medical imaging apparatus such as, for example, a CT Scanner, a MRI apparatus, an Ultrasound Imaging apparatus.
[0006] However, this invention may be implemented in connectio...
