Disclosed is a process that implements a web information library by utilizing Browser Helper Objects (BHOs). Many times a user can drive through web sites to finally find the content that they are looking for after an extensive search, to later mistakingly close the window. Often users will bookmark a page that contains this content, if they haven't already lost it by closing the window. Because of many websites today which use servlets and cgi scripts to find particular content, bookmarking doesn't always cut it. There are many times when a user bookmarks a content page, and instead of returning to the content the user is returned to the original search page, and has to start the drive back through all the pages and responses to find the original content. When the user attempts to find the information again, they can not remember the exact steps they had previously performed to find the original content, and thus their search begins from scratch or is painstakingly longer.
