Automatic Alignment of Projection Color Television Systems

A technique is described whereby all points of color convergence and focus of high-resolution projection television systems are aligned automatically. Two methods are described whereby an automatic mechanism utilizing a single photo-sensitive diode can be programmed or commanded to provide the automatic alignment. The concept explores applications to other devices, such as the alignment of projection multi-beam CRT color displays and to automatically directed and controlled telescopes.
