The Tracking Cube: a Three-Dimensional Input Device

This article describes a hand-held input device for a graphics station which is connected to a computer. This device allows the entering of 3-D information at the graphics station; it has no physical connection to the computer, but is scanned by a sensing device which calculates its 3-D orientation and returns the result as input to the graphics station.
