Abstract

Disclosed is a Magneto-Optic (MO) read/write storage structure with a CuAl alloy (10-20% Al) reflective/capping material. Compared to sputtered Al, the most commonly used material for this application, the CuAl alloy has two advantages: improved corrosion behavior and higher reflectivity.
