Preprocessor for Linear and Mixed Integer Programming Models
Original Publication Date: 1989-Oct-01
Included in the Prior Art Database: 2005-Jan-29
The disclosed Preprocessor is a method which, starting from a Linear Programming (LP) or a Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) model, creates a new model, equivalent to the source one as far as the Primal Optimal Solution (variables activities and objective function value) is concerned, but which can be optimized faster in most cases. The Preprocessor provides information useful during model debugging.
