Concept Search - What can I type?
For a concept search, you can enter phrases, sentences, or full paragraphs in English. For example, copy and paste the abstract of a patent application or paragraphs from an article.
Concept search eliminates the need for complex Boolean syntax to inform retrieval. Our Semantic Gist engine uses advanced cognitive semantic analysis to extract the meaning of data. This reduces the chances of missing valuable information, that may result from traditional keyword searching.

Using a Multi-Port Register File As a Data Funnel or Expander
Disclosed is a method by which a multi-port register file can be used as a
data funnel or expander. This method will reduce the number of components
required to match data buses of unequal widths.
The processor complex communicates to the I/O controller over the SIO bus
that is 8 bytes wide. When the processor initiates a data transfer on this bus up
to 128 bytes of data can be transferred. This transfer must also run to
completion; the operation cannot be suspended. The I/O controllers attached to
this bus must then buffer all the data as it crosses the bus.
The serial link adapter is an I/O controller with an internal data path that is 4
bytes wide. To buffer all the data as it crosses the SIO bus a 4 byte wide multi-
port register file was used that has 2 write ports and two read ports. The high 4
bytes of the SIO bus are input to one write port and the low 4 bytes are input to
the other write port. Similarly, the two read ports are connected to the high and
low 4 bytes of the SIO bus. See the figure.
When the processor is writing to the I/O controller control logic is needed to
generate the write port addresses. The port connected to the high 4 bytes uses
the address received in the address portion of the cycle. The other write port gets
this address incremented by one. In one SIO bus cycle 8 bytes can be written
into a 4-byte-wide register file.
On read operations the opposite occurs. The read por...
