List Manipulation Techniques

This article describes methods for manipulating list windows. Three areas are addressed: 1) Non-destructive list command input. A method is presented for entering commands against a list where the list elements are not destroyed. 2) Scrollable list heading lines. A method is presented for the behavior of list headings where the headings scroll horizontally with the list elements but remain stationary while the list elements scroll vertically. 3) Extraction of vertical data columns from list windows. A method is presented for extracting data columns from a list to be moved or copied to a separate area.
