A device is shown which can be used for the precise impact excitation of small piezoelectric transducers. The mini-catapult is used to project a small projectile (steel ball) into a fixed target (small block of piezoelectric material) positioned with an "xyz table" in such a way as to intercept at close range the trajectory of the projectile. The purpose is to release the projectile at a given point with a given velocity.
