Abstract

One or more Common Service Parts (CSPs) are defined to provide service access from a host or hosts to an I/O subsystem. When more than one CSP is provided for an I/O subsystem, one of these CSPs is designated the primary CSP. The command flows defined in this article make it possible to transfer primary CSP support to an appropriately configured secondary CSP under the following circumstances: Transfer initiated by the primary CSP. Transfer initiated by a secondary CSP. Transfer initiated by a newly attaching CSP. Transfer initiated by the I/O subsystem. (Image Omitted)
