Abstract

This disclosure suggests physical design changes to a robot type manipulator to improve manipulator accuracy and repeatability. The primary improvements to the manipulator design targets improving the thermal operating characteristics of the machine, which will, in effect, reduce the thermal effects of expansion and improve machine accuracies.
