REMOVING Pd/Sn RESIDUES FROM CIRCUIT BOARDS

Circuit boards are initially treated with a retene and a Pd/Sn colloidal solution, and copper conductors are then additively formed by electroless copper plating. Any Pd/Sn residues between the conductors must be removed to prevent short-circuits. Particularly suitable for removing Pd/Sn are KI/HCl.
