This articles describes a flap, preferably for automatic teller machines, which requires only one rotary magnet for opening, closing and locking. Automatic teller machines are generally protected by a flap against unauthorized use. In the case of authorized use, the flap is opened for dispensing cash under the control of the machine to which it is attached. There are several known flap actuators, of which electromagnetic actuators have proved to be particularly simple and expedient. The flap described in this article and illustrated in the figure has the advantage of requiring only one rotary magnet for actuation and locking.
