Abstract

A more versatile cable-adjusting system enables pair of forms tractors to be affixed to continuous cable loops on double idler pulleys rotating in a plurality of planes with a two-position adjustment knob for moving two tractor pairs together or separately. Referring to Figs. 1 and 2, four forms tractors are arranged in left pair 10 and 11 and right pair 12 and 13, with tractors 10 and 12 above and tractors 11 and 13 below the print line 14. Two inelastic adjustment cables are used. The left pair of tractors is secured to cable 15 by adjustable coaxial connectors 16 and the cable is indicated by a dot-dash line; the right pair of tractors is secured by similar connectors 17 to cable 18, indicated by a dotted line.
