Abstract

The automatic chamber loader/unloader can be used to convey one or more stacked pallets 10 from a chamber 12, such as a vacuum/heat chamber to another area. Referring to Fig. 1, a stack of pallets 10 is sitting on slide tray 13. Slide tray 13 is free to move in the X direction. At the base of slide tray 13 are a first boss 14 and a second boss 16. Bosses 14, 16 are extensions of the slide tray 13 and have holes 18 and 20, respectively. (Image Omitted) The movement of slide tray 13 is effected by the action of two cooperating cylinders, rodless cylinder 22 and horizontal cylinder 24 (Fig. 2). Cylinder 24 is mounted at the end of rodless cylinder piston 26 and provides movement in the Y direction. Step 1 - Rodless cylinder piston 26 is extended so that the horizontal cylinder 24 lines up with boss 14.
