Abstract

A method is described to display the effects of color combinations specified in the Profile Character Color menu when the system is operating in APA Display Mode. Operators can sometimes choose to run DisplayWrite 4 on a Personal Computer in one of two different display modes: APA or Character. To accomplish this, two different Display Access Method (DAM) sets of code are written and are packaged into unique modules. At DisplayWrite 4 IPL, the operator indicates which display mode is desired, and the appropriate DAM module is loaded into memory based on the selection. The only way to change the display mode is to re-IPL DisplayWrite 4 and specify the desired mode.
