Abstract

Display/Write/36 (DW36) is a member of the Display/Write family of word processor programs that run on the IBM System/36, a computer that is presently on the market, and this queue management program combines all print requests into a single list, with the distinction between jobs waiting for conversion (on the job queue) and jobs that are printing or waiting to print (on the spool queue) being hidden from the user. DW/36 has been enhanced, as described herein, to create a Print Queue status display called WORK WITH DOCUMENTS TO BE PRINTED. This display contains a list of all DW/36 print requests that have been submitted. This includes requests that are currently being processed and requests that are waiting to be processed. This display also has a format that is consistent with all other DW/36 list displays.
