Ejector for a Selected Connector Latched in a Plastic Frame Holding a Group of Connectors

A tool is placed on a plastic frame that carries a group of flat connectors. Next, an ejector carried by the tool is positioned over a connector that is to be removed, and then the ejector is depressed to push the connector out of the frame in a smooth motion that does not damage the connector or the connector contacts. As the ejector is (Image Omitted) depressed, two arms that are positioned alongside the selected connector are pivoted inwardly to release latches that hold the connector in the frame. The three figures show a base 2 that is placed on the plastic frame of the connector group, the ejector 3, a support 4 for the ejector, two elements 5 that index the support 4 with the ejector 3 over a selected connector, arms 6, a pivot 7 for each arm, and elements 8 that push the arms inwardly to release the connector latches.
