Pseudo-Display of High Intensity on LCD

This article describes a pseudo-display of high intensity function performed in a cathode ray tube display unit on a liquid crystal display (LCD) unit by selectively turning on and off all bits of one dot line in a character box. (Image Omitted) In the cathode ray tube display unit, the high intensity function is involved which displays a character with high intensity to cause an operator to notice the character. Since the LCD unit cannot display the character with the high intensity when the cathode ray tube display unit is replaced by the LCD unit, the pseudo-display of this article has been reached. Referring to Fig. 1, a circuit diagram for displaying a character pattern A is shown. A character generator 1 stores many patterns of characters, symbols, etc. Among the patterns, the character pattern A is shown as an example.
