Abstract

This article describes a pseudo-display of high intensity function performed in a cathode ray tube display unit on a liquid crystal display (LCD) unit by selectively moving the displayed character up and down. In the cathode ray tube display unit, the high intensity function is involved which displays a character with high intensity to cause an operator to notice the character. Since the LCD unit cannot display the character with the high intensity when the cathode ray tube display unit is replaced by the LCD unit, the pseudo-display of this article has been reached. (Image Omitted) Referring to Fig. 1, a circuit diagram for displaying a character pattern A is shown. A character generator 1 stores many patterns of characters, symbols, etc. Among the patterns, the character pattern A is shown as an example.
