This article describes a combined horizontal deflection/power supply circuit to stabilize scan width as well as DC output voltages. In the circuit shown in Fig. 1, one or more DC output voltages to be used for other circuits (not shown) are generated by rectifying/ smoothing circuits 10 associated with a secondary winding of a flyback transformer (FBT) 9. The FBT 9 has a primary winding with one end connected to a horizontal deflection circuit 8 and the other end connected to an output of a chopper 12. The horizontal deflection circuit 8 has a conventional configuration including a horizontal deflection coil Dy and a linearity correction capacitor Cs and operates in response to a signal from a horizontal drive signal generator 7.
