A method is described for use by systems configured with multiple real displays to provide an indication as to which display has the active virtual terminal. It is possible to have a system configured with up to four real physical displays. It is further possible to have one or more full screen virtual terminals associated with each real display. Therefore, it is possible for the operator to have a full screen virtual terminal visible on each of four displays simultaneously.
