Abstract

Disclosed is a business model for warranty supporting management system which adapts two dimensional bar code technology for identification of product(s) and consumer(s) , and it also adapts deposit and point type benefit system for consumers’transactions. Using host computer system for storing products/consumers/warranties information, also using two-dimensional bar code technology for identification of product/consumer, and adaptation of both Deposit and Point system for users’ monetary transaction, this invention creates new type of business model for consumers’ warranty management. The host computer system stores the all transaction of warranty contracts of initial, extension in arbitrary timing and cancellation in any arbitrary timing, too. And the warranty contract charge money are all considered as deposits by consumers and exceeded part of the deposition can be refunded by his/her request for cancellation by monthly adjustment. Manufacturers and distributors who would like to add points for consumers for sales promotion can fund money for consumer to gain points, the points which consumer can obtain under the rule manufacturer or distributor sets up. And consumer can exchange his/her point into money and use them when he/she purchase new product and/or contract new warranty and/or extend his/her warranty he/she already has. Therefore, consumers can obtain all the benefits of warranty contract, and can not waste money, they can buy their best warranty condition. On the other hand, manufacturers and distributors can select their best effective ways of investments among creations of user support organizations and keeping resources and spending money for sales promotions and/or supporting institutions, because that they can access information of what type warranties are more likely contracted by consumers and what type more likely to be canceled and the like information through the host computer system run under this business model.
