An injection mold for injection molding of ceramic material into a ceramic panel is configured to provide perforations in the resultant ceramic panel casting. After the casting is removed from the mold and subjected to further processing, the finished panel is separated along the preformed perforations into smaller standard size pieces, thereby simplifying the separation and thus mitigating and/or eliminating any damage to the finished pieces.
