This latch uses a molded plastic latch spring element which can be molded in a first configuration to provide access with a push against a projection extending through the cover and in a second configuration with the use of a tool thrust through a slot in the cover. The isometric view shows the plastic spring element 1 mounted for pivotal movement by cotter key 2 on door 3. The tongue 4 of spring element 1 engages a shoulder portion 5 of the aperture 6 in keeper plate 7. The latch can be opened by pushing against the latch knob 8, causing the spring element 1 to rotate clockwise about the cotter key 2. Clockwise rotation causes the spring portion 9 to deflect and the tongue 4 to be withdrawn from aperture 6, freeing the door 3 for movement away from frame 10.
