Concept Search - What can I type?
For a concept search, you can enter phrases, sentences, or full paragraphs in English. For example, copy and paste the abstract of a patent application or paragraphs from an article.
Concept search eliminates the need for complex Boolean syntax to inform retrieval. Our Semantic Gist engine uses advanced cognitive semantic analysis to extract the meaning of data. This reduces the chances of missing valuable information, that may result from traditional keyword searching.

Screw Designed for Robot Assembly
A threaded fastener which does not require rotation for assembly is
described. This design permits more rapid assembly of parts by a robot.
The above drawing illustrates the design of a novel screw for facilitating robot
Robot end effectors ("hands") do not normally allow 360 degrees rotation or
continuous rotation. This makes it difficult to tighten a screw into a hole. A
second problem is that the screw must be aligned along the normal vector to the
hole which requires precise knowledge of the hole's position and orientation
This screw solves the first problem because retracting the threads allows the
screw to be inserted with a straight line, non-rotating motion. This screw solves
the second problem because the tapered point and undersized shaft make the
insertion a high speed, low tolerance task.
