Abstract

With the rapid proliferation of word or text processing terminals in the office systems field, it has now become customary in the field to provide with such text processing equipment a programming capabilitywhich enables such text processing equipment to emulate a data processing terminal and by such compatibility with a data processing data stream, function to permit an operator through text processing terminal to access data processing materials and to form data processing operations. In a great many data processing systems, it has become conventional to update or change the data processing terminal screen every time a change is made in a single line or phrase to be displayed on the terminal.
