The above belt-feeding machine (shown in top and side views) may be used to supply a robot arm with small belts, such as timing belts used on floppy disk drives. Belts to be fed are encased in a sleeve. The operation of the machine includes moving the sleeved belt from a hopper to a nest station, slitting the sleeve and removing the sleeve so that the belt is nested ready for a robot arm to pick up.
