Abstract

In a typical word processing application, tab settings are normally required to be inputted in order across the page. If after setting the tabs the operator discovers that another intermediate tab should have been set, the operator is typically required to reset all the tabs at least from the point of the intermediate tab which is to be added. This is both inconvenient and time consuming for the operator. In order to avoid this problem, a utility has been developed which will allow the user to input the tabs in any order. After inputting of the tabs has been completed, a sort routine places the tabs in their correct order.
