Auto-Incrementing Arrays for Data Collection and Initialization

This automated implementation allows an embedded array to be sequentially incremented or decremented from a specified starting point to either extract data from the array (such as error data) or to set data into an array (such as initialization data). The address register has logic added to it so that when the control is set to increment or decrement, the address register will be incremented/decremented after every array clock pulse. The following read/write command will then automatically address the next sequential location. The embodiment also includes a wrap capability. From a fixed starting point, a state either left by the system when normally operating or set via scan when in a test mode, the register can be incremented/decremented sequentially.
