This idea involves the basic concept that double spaced documents are easier to read than single spaced documents. The present method of print compression would reduce both line length and vertical line space to maintain the equivalent proportions. This idea requires a printer under control of a processor or operator to reduce the type size from 10 pitch to approximately 16.5 and add one extra vertical space (.101") between the reduced proportion lines for outputs up to 54 lines.
