Typewriter print impression is controlled electronically as a result of two input setting: a first from the printer defining a print impression associated with a selected character and a second from an electronic keyboard defining whether all characters are to be struck with low, medium or heavy impression as an operator may program, for example, in accordance with the number of carbon copies to be typed.
