Delay Controller For Bootstrap Driver Circuits

This MOSFET driver circuit includes a parameter compensating delay controller circuit which reduces the variation between best and worst case delays and allows a designer to control the delay of one or more phase drivers in the presence of different electrical parameters due to variable semiconductor processing conditions. A parameter-compensating bias circuit is provided to control the RC time constant of an internal capacitive voltage node to within a small range of values. The delay controller portion of the circuit controls the discharge rate by regulating the impedance of a nodal discharging MOSFET by controlling its overdrive voltage, its W/L ratio and/or by regulating the current provided to the capacitive voltage node.
