The settling time usually required before making resistance measurements in a multiple probe test bed is significantly reduced by forcing a current-limited voltage through the unknown resistance. Concurrently, the correction for losses is determined, and analog computation provides for translating the measured data into a voltage representative of the known resistance, as though a current was forced through the unknown resistance and the resultant voltage measured.
