An active disk data generator-switch suitable for multiplexing has a straight line conductor positioned across one side thereof. As shown in the drawing, the disk generator 10A has a tab 12A to assist in bubble splitting and a tab 14A for nucleation purposes. A conductor 16A is positioned on one side 18A of generator 10A. A conductor 20A is used to nucleate a bubble on tab 14A. Conductors 20A and 16A can be connected to each other to save paths.
