Current Balance in Push-Pull Inverter (Chopper)

A common problem occurs when a push-pull inverter circuit is used in high frequency, non-saturating core drive applications. The problem is that the volt-time impressed across each half of the center-tapped transformer winding will not be exactly equal since the characteristics of the circuit components will differ slightly. These differences arise in chopper device saturation voltage and storage time, and transformer leakage inductance, primary inductance and series resistance.
