Cooling System for Disk File Head Actuator

The pressure differential created between inner and outer radial regions of a disk file during operation is used to cool a head-positioning rotary actuator. A channel provided in the file base casting is partly covered by a plate to provide a path for air, which has passed through the actuator, to return to the low pressure region adjacent the hub.
