Testing a data line of a memory to write and read operations usually requires the application of a specified level for some interval of time. To WRITE "1", it is usually required that a level equal to or greater than some specified value be applied for a minimum interval of time, W. To WRITE "0", it is usually required that a level equal to or less than some specified value be applied for the same minimum interval W. For READ operations, a level not to exceed a certain value is normally required. These levels are such that: READ level is greater than WRITE "1" is greater than WRITE "0".
