A passive bubble annihilator consists of a number of propagation elemen that are arranged to trap the bubbles in a closed region. As shown in the drawing, bubbles propagate along the C-bars 12 in the direction shown and along the T-bars 14 to the shaded area 16. The bubbles are trapped in the closed region on area 16 and are unable to escape to the area outside. After the density of the bubbles in area 16 reaches a certain level, bubbles in this area will collapse when additional bubbles come in.
