Concept Search - What can I type?
For a concept search, you can enter phrases, sentences, or full paragraphs in English. For example, copy and paste the abstract of a patent application or paragraphs from an article.
Concept search eliminates the need for complex Boolean syntax to inform retrieval. Our Semantic Gist engine uses advanced cognitive semantic analysis to extract the meaning of data. This reduces the chances of missing valuable information, that may result from traditional keyword searching.

This test provides a quantitative measure of the amount of free colloidal
pyrogenic silica pigment (CAB-O-SIL*) in xerographic toner powder.
A sample quantity of toner to be tested is placed in an aluminum weighing
dish about 1/4 inch deep. The toner surface is smoothed, and then the dish is
placed on an electrical hot plate to melt the toner. Since molten toner does not
wet CAB-O-SIL, if free CAB-O-SIL is present in the toner sample, flecks of CAB-
O-SIL will be visible on the smooth surface of the toner sample.
The extent of free CAB-O-SIL can be quantified by the use of an image
analyzer or a densitometer. * Trademark of Cabot Corporation.
