Abstract

This data accessing technique for high density memory arrays allows sensing circuits to match the pitch of memory cells by partitioning the memory array into independently accessible segments and providing a gating circuit to couple each respective bit line of each segment to a different sense amplifier, thus reducing the required number of sense amplifiers to that number required for the number of bit lines within a segment.
