Abstract

A contiguous disk (CD) bubble device has a minor loop track with a center portion having a 4 mu period affixed to two end portions having an 8 mu period. As shown in the drawing, the CD device 10 has a plurality of minor loops 12. The minor loops 12 are asymmetric with end portions 14 having an 8 mu period to increase the operating margins. The center portion 16 has a 4 mu period for increased storage density.
